White Wing via June Mountain

Woke up Saturday without much of a plan, but Mary figured our friend Elysia (E) would want to tour. She was right, so we did!

Mary wanted to ski June Mtn ski area, so E and I planned to ski off the back down to Glass Creek Meadow and up White Wing.

Right off the bat the skiing was good. E descends. These slopes were getting a melt/freeze crust in spots at the end of the day, but skied great in the morning.

We crossed the meadow into the dense forest at the base of White Wing.

Then broke out into this broad open slope of White Wing. The top of June is on the hump to the right.

Love the stark open slopes .

Skiing in the bowl was nothing short of fantastic.

All smiles at the bottom.

Glass Creek Meadow magic.

The morning's tracks taken whilst skinning back up to the ski area.

Back to June.

The best conditions for this tour ever.
Thanks E!
