Last fall I had explored some of the territory north of Movie Flat and found a jeep road that eventually turned into a motorcycle track (official BLM designation) that headed west above the Alabama Hills. I had heard that the track eventually looped back to the Whitney Portal Road, so I gave it a try. After climbing the Whitney Portal Road for about thirty minutes I found the moto trail. The trail provided nice singletrack riding all the way back to the jeep road. Yippee!
