New Year's Day

The New Year greeted me with a head cold that really slowed me down. Before it got too severe I managed to get out with Mary for a short cross country ski tour at Shady Rest in Mammoth.

The forest is thick and uniform.
It was a great joy to get out with Mary, who skied quite well. She also looked great with her scarf and all!

For a few brief moments I felt pretty good, but sadly the cold worsened and I spent the next two days napping, watching football, and gazing out the window at the snow.
