Yesterday I toured up in the Bishop Creek drainage starting in Aspendell and heading west towards North Lake.
Coverage was marginal but Thursday's storm had filled in a lot of the leeward north and east aspects.
This approach to Bishop Bowl is still quite thin.
The "mini golf" zone however looked skiable. Risky given the high avalanche risk though.
Scratched out some turns here. Pretty decent skiing actually. Bumped a few rocks but nothing serious.
Still need another good storm or two before skiing opens up here. Table Mountain, Habeggars and the other roadside spots are not in play.
